Highborne is looking for any decently geared, and dedicated shaman to join our ranks!
Progression through Sunwell requires a ton of raid healing, and it just turns out that Shamans fit the bill for almost every fight. While we are still looking for other healers as well, Shaman are on the top of our list. So if you or any of your spiritually induced friends are looking for a Felmyst-Kil'jaeden bound guild, we're your guild. =D

Well, with barely three Kalecgos kills under our belts--and without compromising our relatively "casual" four night raid schedule--here we are with yet another guild first. It's not just another guild first, however. For the first time ever, Highborne is now officially tied for US-Exodar's top progression spot. It's a hell of an accomplishment, everyone, and it's a proud, proud day for us all.

After a couple months of farming Illidan, retooling our roster and generally preparing for our big push, we can now officially say we're a Sunwell guild. Great job everyone and, having saved Kalecgos with only a night and a half of revised-strat attempts, we now set our sights on Brutallus. It's time to see what our DPS can really do.

As many of you now know, our Officers recently came to a decision to disband our Officercore in favor of a newer, fresher approach to guild hierarchy. We'll be revealing more details on this in the coming days and weeks but, until then, let me just say that, on a personal note, we could never have come this far without the unwavering dedication of our Officers, both new and old. Let me also take a moment to recognize former Officers Aleiron, Flexo and Capone; before they passed the torch, they too went above and beyond to make our guild what it is today.

On Saturday, June 21st, Highborne will be heading back to The Eye for some offnight raiding fun. Mains, Alts and Friends are all welcome to attend. We'll be starting at 8pm EST and hope to end within a few hours. If you still need your SR Neck or Hyjal Ring, this is a great opportunity to get it!

It's been nearly a year since we first stepped foot into Karazhan... first wiped to Attumen and first triumphantly declared ourselves a "real" raiding guild; oh how far we've come. I just can't thank everyone enough for making last night a reality; we've done a hell of a fine job for ourselves. And, to think, this is the same guild that once hoped to maybe kill Prince Malchezaar... and which couldn't even dream of fielding a raid for--let alone killing--Gruul the Dragonslayer.
I guess you really can be "serious about being casual."
Who knew?
Savour the moment, everyone.
You've damn well earned it.

It was our most difficult encounter since Magtheridon but, after a few nights of attempts, we stand triumphant above Archimonde's fallen corpse (what's left of it, anyway). This was a tough one for us--made more difficult by our relatively short, 4 night raid schedule--but, in typical Highborne fashion, we pulled together and got the job done. For those counting, that's 3 away from Illidan, folks. It should be a very interesting next few weeks.
We are still recruiting Resto Shaman and Resto Druids (amongst others)!

Well, after over a year of perfect attendance it was almost inevitable... I missed a raid. Despite this, however, everyone pulled together, buckled down, and managed a guild first Teron Gorefiend without me. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement and a big thanks goes out to everyone who made this kill possible..
But there's more!
That following Monday, we came back to BT with a vengeance and killed Gurtogg Bloodboil on our first night ever. He was easily one of our toughest bosses to date (from a technical perspective) but, in typical Highborne fashion, we worked out it out and downed him on around our 10th attempt.
Nice job, everyone, and apologies for the late news update!

Okay, so we've gone about three weeks without an update... sorry about that. Regardless, though, it's not like we haven't been busy. Besides killing Kael'thas a few more times, we've made quite a bit of headway into Tier 6 and, well, I'll let the screenshots speak for themselves.

I strongly recommend DOWNLOADING this video but, if you can't, definitely take a few minutes to stream it. It's by far one of the best Kael videos I've ever seen and it's definitely worth your time. You've really outdone yourself this time, Storm. Excellent job.

Almost a year to the day from Highborne's founding, here we stand triumphant over one the most notorious bosses in Warcrafts history. To say we've come a long way would be an understatement; for a guild like ours to accomplish what it has... well, it's almost unheard of. We didn't set out to be a "hardcore" raiding guild--we didn't set out to be a raiding guild at all--yet, after all has been said and done, here we are. We're now amongst the raiding elite, everyone; welcome to the top .01% of guilds worldwide.
Oh, did I mention we one shot Kael'thas?
Or that we also one shot Rage Winterchill after that?
Impressive, everyone, truly impressive.

Rest assured everyone, we have been raiding.
After taking a couple weeks off for the holidays, we've since come back, recleared all of our pre-break content and, as of last Monday, have begun our first week of Kael'thas attempts! To say it's been an exciting year thus far would be an understatement; Highborne is back and, watch out Exodar, we're better than ever.

In light of the upcoming holidays, all Official Highborne 25man Raiding has been suspended until January 1st, 2008. It's been a great year for us and, with 2007 now drawing to a close, we look forward to Kael'thas and Tier 6 in the new year. It's been a hell of a ride so far, everyone, let's come back from our holiday break stronger than ever.
Unofficial raiding (Kara, Zul'aman, Gruul) will continue as usual pending various scheduling updates from those involved.

Tier 6 Attunement Progress

All members currently holding a roster-rank (i.e. Member or above) must visit our Equipment forum and update their Tier 6 attunement progress as soon as possible. As of this writing, 94% of our roster has obtained Vashj's vial (which is rather impressive given we've only killed her twice). If you're not yet on the Rage Winterchill step of Black Temple attunement, you are running out of time. Make it a priority and get it done.
And yes, I realize that this attunement thread doesn't belong in the Equipment forum. I didn't want to create an entirely new forum (with proper permissions) for it, though, so just roll with it for now.
